The Roller Skating European Championship held in the town of Gujan Mestras, close to Bordeaux, just ended. The edition set up by the organizers turned out to be a little subdued, because of the incredible refusal to take part to it expressed by the whole German National Team, engaged in its National Championship, in addition to the announced defection of the Belgian, Dutch and Israeli skaters. Concerningthis low attendance, a stance by CERS is awaited, as in an already reduced group of participant nations, the absence of a major European team such as Germany cannot be acceptable. The Italian national team, though almost entirely formed by low rank athletes, performed greatly, winning three titles out of four voth in the senior and in the junior categories. Among the seniors, it is to be registered the wonderful confirmation after the silver medal in the Italian National Championship for the Sardinian Pierluca Tocco, who was able to defeat the higly rated Spanish athlete Gasset; in the Dance and in Pairs Skating (though unfortunately with no competitors) we had the Italian triple win, thanks to the gold medals of Anna Remondini-Alessandro Piva, and Silvia Pasquini-Davide Postiglione. In the women category, the title went for the first time to a Slovenian athlete, Lucija Mlinaric, who went ahead of the expert Laura Sanchez from Spain, and the Italian Cecilia Gasparini. Among the junior, the Italian national team missed the man title, won by the French Garcia who beat Andrea Poli; however “Casa Italia” obtained the woman title, with the great Debora Sbei, the Dance title, with Dalila La Neve-Elia Campagna, and the pairs one, with Laura Binotto-Andrea Lanzanova.

After large happening the world-wide one, finally arrives in Italy the Theatre on the Ice of Moscow with the show "Cenerentola and Gala on ice". The Theatre on ice, directed from Igor Bobrin, European and of Soviet Union former-champion, has been founded to Moscow in 1986 and today it boastsa a rich one and varied biography. At the beginnind the theatre was composed solo from 9 skaters, and introduced the shows with to the theatre variety. With the show "The dumb film or mediation on the topic of Charlie Chaplin" begins the production own of the Theatre on the Ice, that it guarantees to this last succeeding that exceeds every expectation. Today the theatre on the ice comprises a directory of 30 various shows, created on the base of the literary best sellers of various countries, between wich "The lake of the Swan", "Romeo and Juliet", and many others. The skaters of the theatre on the ice comunicate with their fan through the universal language of the artistic skating. For italian tournee the artist will exhibit themselves in the program "Cenerentola and gala on the ice", that it will be interpreted from more 20 russian skaters and the couple of dance, Natalia Bestemianova-Andrey Bukin, world and olympic champions. A fragment of the "Cenerentola on the ice" has been introduced once to Gardaland obtaining the title of better show for its wonderful scenografie and customs, and naturally for talent of the artist.
